Hi, I’m Sue Perry, and I’m running for Seat #2 on the Venice City Council. I’m a fiscal conservative, and care deeply about protecting what makes Venice special – our Small-Town Charm. As our city continues to grow, we need to manage that growth responsibly protecting our neighborhoods, coastline, and environment, being fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars, and addressing real issues like traffic and stormwater flooding that affect residents.

 

I have spent nearly 34 years as a pharmaceutical representative in this area, where listening was essential—and honestly, it became a habit. After I retired, I was active in my HOA. First as an Officer of Stewardship and Chair of the Finance committee, then was elected to the board in 2025 as Treasurer, now in 2026 as Secretary. I have spent the last three years working with the City of Venice with all departments, for my community, for our stormwater system and keeping abreast of development around our community. I listen first, look at the facts, and think about the long-term impact on Venice. My goal is simple: to put the Venice community first and make practical, responsible decisions that keep our city strong today and for generations to come.
